EXAMPLE 2: Finders of a lost item may write a note, to the individual website of the tracked item, telling the owner that he / she has found the lost item. The finder may include contact information should he / she feel comfortable doing so. An e-mail is automatically sent to the owner of the tracked item informing him / her that someone has posted a note for that specific item. The e-mail includes the contents of the note posted by the person who finds the lost item. The notes posted by the finder remain on the individual webpage of the tracked item until such time as they are deleted by the owner of the item.

EXAMPLE 3: Finders of a lost item may click on the ‘Contact Owner’ link above to contact the owner directly without writing a write a note, to the individual website of the tracked item, telling the owner that he / she has found the lost item.
